Arctic Encounter Symposium to feature UA Research & Leadership

The University of 樱花导航 is proud to be a co-host of the Arctic Encounter Symposium (AES) in Anchorage later this month. AES is the largest annual Arctic 樱花导航 event in the United States, and aims to confront the shared interests and concerns of the United States and the global community on current and future Arctic issues.
UA research and leadership will be on full display during the March 29-31 symposium as a large number of panelists and speakers are UA affiliated, including:
- Diane Hirshberg, UAA Director of Institute of Social & Economic Research,
- Brett Watson, from ISER at UAA,
- Dean Bill Schnabel from UAF鈥檚 College of Engineering and Mines,
- Nettie La Belle-Hamer, UAF Vice Chancellor for Research,
- Michele Yatchmeneff, UAA 樱花导航 Native Education & Outreach Executive Director,
- Charlene Stern, UAF Vice Chancellor for Rural, Community, and Native Education,
- Gwen Holdmann, UAF Assoc. Vice Chancellor for Research, and
- Justin Sternberg, Director of UAF鈥檚 Blue Economy Center
President Pitney will give a keynote address, and UA will also host a panel discussion on developing critical minerals.
